All GPAR Members ->> PR committee update!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas weekend! I just wanted to share a bit about what the PR committee has been up to lately - 

 

 A LOT :) 

 

Back in October in conjunction with the Golf Committee we did an online auction. That auction raised just over $4400!!! 

 

With that money, plus what PR has budgeted throughout the year we were able to get to work on getting it where it was needed most - 

 

Valley mission food Pantry $500

Foodbank $1000 (an additional $1000 was given to them earlier this year from IR in our name) 

Socks for Seniors $250

Bright Tomorrows $500

Secret Santa with Kelly Martinez $1050

Neighborworks $500

SEICCA $500

Senior Center $250

Casa $250

Family Service Alliance $250

 

Plus..we were able to provide Christmas for 37 children!!! These kiddos were given to us by the community resource workers in School District 25. Their wants and needs were so humble - the majority of them needed warm clothes. The PR committee divided and conquered- shopped and wrapped for all of the children!! 

 

But wait - that's not all! We also were able to provide Christmas for 4 Veterans! From a 12 pack of coke, bird watching book, box of chocolates, calendars, and sweats we were able to take good care of them! 

 

We had tins out to donate their lunch money since we weren't having any in person lunches - with that we raised just over $330 and were able to give that to the food bank for Christmas meals! 

 

2020 has been incredibly difficult for so many this year. With all of your kindness and generosity we were able to make it "less hard" for so many people. As the chairwoman of the Public Relations committee, I want to send a sincere THANK YOU. Your support makes all of this possible. 

 

As the last week of 2020 comes to a close, here is looking towards 2021!! If anyone has interest in joining the PR committee please reach out to me.
